TWO walkers discovered a pile of fly-tipped rubbish in Chard yesterday (September 9).

The rubbish - which consisted of wood and plastic - was found on Catchgate Lane.

The pair had to move some of the items so they could continue with their walk.

South Somerset District Council (SSDC) has said they are aware of the fly-tipping issue, which is being dealt with by their Environmental Health Team, who are responsible for collecting waste left on public highways and land.

If you spot any fly-tipping it should be reported to SSDC via their website.
