A POPULAR dog show returned this weekend and managed to raise more than £5000.
Visitors headed to Ferne Animal Sanctuary on Saturday, September 5, to show off their pooches.
The event was opened by the Somerset Crooner and his rescue dog, Buddy.
There were a variety of classes, have-a-go agility and dog themed stands.
Each class was sponsored by a local business and these included Alro Services Ltd, Andy Browne Property Services, Netitude, Hornsbury Mill, Carly Press, C.I.D Fire and Security Ltd, Walpole Dunn, Hilton Herbs, RH Advertising and Coombefield Vets. Good Dogs Organics sponsored the rosettes and provided prizes.
The total raised for Ferne Animal Sanctuary was £5,813.
Elaine Hayes, chief executive of Ferne Animal Sanctuary, said: “It was our best dog show yet! An amazing team effort from staff and volunteers.
"It was wonderful to see dogs and owners enjoying the day.”
