THE second revamped monthly market in Chard took place on Saturday (July 31).

Visitors flocked to the town to sample the delights on offer from local traders.

Community liaison officer at Chard Town Council, Liz Johnson-Idan, said: “The new Monthly Market which compliments our regular Saturday Market took place on the last Saturday of the month and was an opportunity to buy local and meet the producers.

“Despite the weather sales were good with many repeat customers and we look forward to the market growing.
