A SPECIAL emergency sandbag bank was opened in Chard last night for those fearing a repeat of recent flash flooding during storms.
After some downpours started yesterday (Saturday), the town's Guildhall was opened up for people to collect sandbags to protect their properties.
A Met Office weather warning remains in place until midnight tonight (July 25), with forecasters warning of thunderstorms in Somerset.
The warning says people can expect disruption to transport, as well as flash flooding in some areas.
