A SUPPORT hub set up to help people affected by this week's flash flooding in Chard will re-open this morning (June 30).
The hub, organised by South Somerset District Council, will offer help and advice from 9.30am at the Guildhall in Chard.
A wide range of officers from across the council have been deployed to support residents and businesses, providing dedicated advice and visiting a number of households to offer assistance, including moving furniture and other personal belongings at the request of residents in homes affected by floodwater.
This has included properties in Chard, Tatworth, Nimmer and other villages.
Anyone aware of isolated residents, particularly those who are vulnerable, who may need help and support should call 01935 462462 and select the flood support option, or visit the team at the Guildhall.

Cllr Jason Baker, Mayor of Chard, said: "It has been incredible to see the efforts put in by the council’s officers alongside our partners and volunteers from across the town to help their community.
"It was devastating to see some of the images of flooding but it has been absolutely fantastic to see everyone pulling together to aid the recovery.
"If there is anyone out there who still needs help, I urge them to get in touch or visit the hub we’ve established at the Guildhall.”
