Four people have been hurt in a crash in a Somerset village this evening.
Fire crews received a call reporting the incident in Penselwood, Wincanton, at 7.50pm.
Firefighters were quickly mobilised from both Wincanton and Gillingham.
A spokesperson from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed a two vehicle RTC (Road Traffic Collision) with one person still medically trapped and three walking wounded.
Crews worked with paramedics on scene to formulate a plan to extricate the trapped casualty from the vehicle.
At 9.45pm, fire crews had confirmed the trapped casualty had been released from the vehicle and all four casualties taken to hospital by ambulance.
