ILMINSTER Rotarians raised £600 for charity after strapping on their walking boots for this year's Rotary Exmoor Challenge.
Roy Picket, David Back and Mia Hewitt braved the elements to complete the eight-mile trek in April in aid of the Children's Hospice South-West.
The trio, who finished the route in three hours, presented the cheque to hospice community fundraiser Alexa Garner in June.
Roy said: “We are thrilled to have raised this money for Children's Hospice South-West.
“It was a great challenge and a lovely atmosphere to be a part of it.
“The charity is a very worthwhile cause to support and it means a great deal to us to be able to help them, having visited both of their hospices over the last few years.”
The Children's Hospice South-West provides free respite care for children with life limiting illnesses and their families at Little Bridge House, North Devon, and Charlton Farm, North Somerset.
Alexa said: “We are over the moon that Ilminster Rotary Club have raised such a huge amount and that they have chosen to support a local charity.
“We rely almost entirely on the generosity of the public to raise the £6million each year needed to run Little Bridge House and Charlton Farm and so we sincerely thank the club for their on-going support.”
