ADAM Dance, MP for Yeovil, paid a festive visit to the Royal Mail Yeovil Delivery Office to meet the postal team working to ensure that cards, letters, and parcels reach their destinations this Christmas.

The visit is part of a long-standing Westminster tradition where MPs visit Royal Mail operations to show their appreciation for postal workers.

With the festive season in full swing, the Yeovil Delivery Office is operating at its peak, ensuring cards and gifts are delivered on time across the region.

Royal Mail staff expressed their gratitude for the visit, with the local manager highlighting the pride the team takes in serving the community during such a vital period.

During his visit, Adam met with delivery office staff to hear about their work, the challenges they face during the festive period, and their commitment to serving the Yeovil constituency.

Adam Dance MP said it was a pleasure to meet the team at the Yeovil Delivery Office and see firsthand the amount of effort that goes into keeping our mail moving during the busiest time of year.

“The dedication of Royal Mail staff—working in all weathers—is truly commendable,” he said.

“I know many customers were disappointed with service disruptions last year, but I’m pleased to hear that the team is now back to full strength and doing an excellent job. Their hard work is making a real difference to people and businesses across Yeovil and South Somerset this Christmas.”

Lois Robson, operational performance leader for Somerset Royal Mail said that it was “brilliant” to be able to welcome Adam Dance MP and explain the journey that the letters and parcels take from sender to doorstep.

The team all apparently welcomed the feedback from Adam and the acknowledgement of their improved service over the recent months.

“The team take great pride in the service they provide locally seven days a week and are working really hard to deliver a fantastic Christmas for everyone in the Yeovil catchment area,” Lois Robson said.

Adam concluded the visit by saying a huge thank you to everyone at Royal Mail for their dedication and commitment.

“This is an incredibly busy time of year for our postal workers, and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Royal Mail for their dedication and commitment to keeping our communities connected. Your work is greatly appreciated, and I hope you all have a chance to enjoy some well-deserved rest over the holidays,” he said.
