An insurance broker kickstarted the festive season with a Christmas fayre.
Howden Yeovil, based on Silver Street, held the fayre in the run-up to the Yeovil Christmas light switch on.
The event brought together several independent businesses, including the Little Treat Shop, J.R Discounts, Sebea, Ellys Teddies, and Hayley's Braids and Faces.
The festivities were enhanced with hot chocolate, mulled wine, and a special guest appearance by Father Christmas.
It also served as a fundraising opportunity in partnership with 2wish, a charity that supports bereaved parents.
Thanks to donations from the community and local businesses, the fayre raised £500 in donations for the charity.
Howden matched this amount to take the total donations to £1,000.
Jade Adam, insurance consultant at Howden Yeovil, said: "It was fantastic to see the community come together and support not only local businesses but also a cause close to our hearts.
"The festive atmosphere was incredible, and we’re proud to have been part of such a special day in Yeovil."
Scott Allen, branch manager at Howden Yeovil, added: "We’re committed to making a difference in our community.
"Supporting 2wish during this event felt particularly meaningful, especially during the festive season, when coming together is so important."
The Christmas celebrations will continue at Howden, with children invited to write to Santa.
The branch has a 'North Pole mailbox' where children can post a specially designed postcard of their Christmas wishes.
They will receive a personalised response from Father Christmas himself.
Howden Insurance was founded by three young brokers and a dog named Flight 30 years ago.
The company says it was built on a commitment to customer service.
Mr Allen added: "At Howden, we use insurance as a powerful force for good, taking a no-limits approach to everything we do.
"Because when we say we care about our clients, we mean it on every level; from helping you find cover for the most important things in your life, to supporting the communities we serve and the causes that matter to you."
