EGGWOOD Hill between Merriott and Lopen is closed due to a landslip caused by the recent weather due to Storm Bert.
Storm Bert hit the South West this weekend and has battered Somerset with severe severe rainfall and strong winds leading to flooding and much traffic disruption.

Today, the Somerset Council have officially released an alert for a landslip that has occurred at Eggwood Hill, Hinton St George turn off which is predicted to have a high impact and cause delays.

The road is now closed due to the landslip and traffic is reported to be coping well at the Hinton St George turn off both ways.
