THIS morning there was a serious two vehicle road traffic collision incident on Bay Hill, just outside of Ilminster, Somerset.
As Storm Bert moves away from Somerset, flooding and related disruptions remain across the county roads including the A303 near Yeovil which is currently dealing with delays after crash on A303 this morning and the A358 which has queuing traffic near Thornfalcon.

The incident was reported to authorities at around 7am (November 25, 2024) and is still ongoing with authorities at the scene of the incident and the last update being posted around 9am.
The attending fire station was Chard, who sent two fire engines and on arrival they confirmed that one person was still trapped inside one of the vehicles that was turned upside-down on its roof.
Crews released the casualty by using electric cutting equipment.
The casualty was then left in the hands of the Ambulance crews in attendance.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 06:58hrs on Monday 25 November to a road traffic collision near Ilminster. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, and an operations officer to the scene. We conveyed patients by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital.”
