HATCH Beauchamp C of E Primary School opened its doors to all families, students and the wider local community for a Remembrance Day Service on Monday, November 11.
This involved a church service, the laying of the wreathes, children planting crosses into the ground and the traditional Remembrance Day moment of silence.
The service was then followed by refreshments provided and served by the school’s Friends Association volunteers.
"A somber yet beautiful service that we were delighted to welcome members of the local community along to, to respectfully remember those who gave their all then, so that we may flourish now," Mr Tim Harnett, lead teacher said emotionally.
"It was a beautiful service. We are so proud of our children for their courage and impeccable behaviour; they brought tears to eyes and goosepimples on arms with their readings and while singing acapella. They genuinely showed just how respectful and amazing they all are, and it was truly wonderful," Mrs Emma Lovell, school administrator added.
"The children of Hatch Beauchamp School did so well, they were very respectful. And as an ex-army veteran I know from watching them at their service that remembrance will live on for years to come," Paul Beck, ex-army veteran who lives close to the school said.
The school thanks everyone involved in the Remembrance Day Service and for the local community for all showing up to remember our fallen soldiers.
