A boxing glove, worn by Muhammad Ali in 1963 in a fight with Henry Cooper, has been revealed as genuine by Chard Auctioneers.

Curtis Dowling, the owner of the glove, entrusted it to Chard Auctioneers. The matching glove was sold in 2016.

"This is a real game changer, we are truly honoured and very excited that these gloves have been reunited after 61 years.

"Going forward this means we have been able to compare the gloves and have a perfect match, colour wise, manufacture techniques, laces, and animal skin.

"This means we can demonstrate without any doubt that our Muhammad Ali glove is the genuine one."

Chard Auctioneers currently have the glove and were conducting research into the glove to make sure it was genuine.

Now it has been marked as the genuine glove worn by Muhammad Ali, it can now be auctioned off which took place at the end of October.

With a guide price of £300,000 to £500,000, an online auction opened until October 31 with all documents kept in a secret vault at Chard Auctions.
