A 34-YEAR-OLD man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assault after an incident outside a store on Yeovil High Street.
The suspect made racist remarks before punching and kicking the victim during an assault that took place on Monday, October 14 at around 2.30pm outside the Superdrug shop.
Police said a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and assault by causing actual bodily harm.
He has since been released on conditional bail.
The force is now appealing for witnesses and a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We are hoping anyone who overheard or witnessed the incident may be able to assist our enquiries.”
