A calendar has been released to celebrate a model's bodybuilding success.
Ed Akay, who is partially paralysed in his left foot, has won multiple titles in his first competitive season.
He won a world silver medal, the inaugural UK International Para Bodybuilding Championship, and the INBA Natural Universe in Hungary in the Para division.
He is one of the few to compete as both a para and able-bodied athlete.
He said that he feels very blessed to defy the odds to inspire other people, who were perhaps written off to achieve success.
He credits his success to the support of his wife and manager, Helen, his trainer, and the UK Drug-Free Bodybuilding Association.
His trainer, Matthew White, CEO of MW Strength & Performance, said: "Sometimes in life, as in sport, we run into destiny.
"This has humbly happened times over in Ed’s story and it has been my pleasure and honour to mentor and train the lad to this level."
The 2025 calendar, featuring photographs by Jason Reading, is available from his website to celebrate Ed’s achievements.
Mr Reading, who runs a photography studio in Chard, said: "I feel very privileged to operate my studio in a great town and contribute towards the success of models and athletes in the South West."
