OYSTER Care Homes Celebrates a Major Milestone through a topping out ceremony at Potter House, Yeovil.
Oyster Care Homes is excited to announce significant progress in the development of Potter House in Yeovil, scheduled to open in March 2025 as the group’s sixth care home.
This week, CEO Tim Buckley, COO Em Dean, regional director Carol Britton, and general manager callum pearce gathered to celebrate the topping out ceremony.
This milestone marked the completion of the building’s final structural element and brought the team closer to their goal of providing exceptional care in this new, "state-of-the-art" facility.
Designed and constructed by LNT Construction, Potter House promises to offer more than just resident-centred care; it hopes to represent "a leap forward in sustainable living and eco-friendly design".
Equipped with solar panels, a battery storage system that holds two days of energy, and ground-source heating, Potter House aligns with Oyster Care Homes' commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions.
Em Dean, chief operating officer at Oyster Care Homes, said: "We couldn’t be more excited to see Potter House coming to life. This care home is a testament to our commitment to expanding our reach and continuing to provide the best possible care for our residents.
"Potter House is set to offer a compassionate, supportive environment, thoughtfully designed to meet residents’ individual needs while promoting independence and enhancing quality of life."
With only a few months until the grand opening, the team awaits the final phase of the project.
