This year's Glorious Gardens campaign raised more than £32,000 for St Margaret's Hospice Care.

It was a resounding success, with 61 gardens opening across 22 locations in aid of the charity.

The total of £32,012 includes all sponsorship, with a special mention to sponsor Greenslade Taylor Hunt for their generous backing.

St Margaret's Hospice expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who opened their gardens to the public, and to the Somerset community who visited, made donations, and enjoyed refreshments in the beautiful green spaces.

Kerry Baillie, community fundraising manager at St Margaret's Hospice Care, said: "We are absolutely thrilled with the success of Glorious Gardens 2024 and want to thank everyone who helped make it happen, from those who generously opened their gardens to every single visitor who contributed.

"The funds raised will make a real difference in supporting the care we provide across Somerset, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the community’s continued support."

Looking ahead to 2025, St Margaret’s is calling on the community to get involved again for next summer’s Glorious Gardens event, as they celebrate 45 years of providing free end-of-life care to the people of Somerset.

Their aim is to feature more than 100 gardens, making it their biggest event yet, and they need your help to reach that goal.

Whether your garden is large or small, your participation would be a fantastic addition.
