EMERGENCY crews have rescued two men from their vehicle stuck in flood water from heavy rainfall on the A358 near Donyatt.
The incident took place today (Tuesday, October 8), with the Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue Services's last update on the incident taking place this evening at 3.19pm.
The men in question were eventually removed to dry land safe and well, and the road was closed by Chard Police.
The A358 has been closed both ways today from 1.03pm to 4.55pm due to flooding between Sea turning (Peasmarsh) and The Pub (Donyatt).
Flooding has also caused issues on the M5 today and has affected waste collections.
Travel Somerset is urging motorists to plan ahead considering the weather and the conditions of the roads.
The council's traffic authority also asked them to "be aware there may be flooding on smaller local roads across Somerset”.
