A CARE held a party to celebrate its 30th anniversary West Abbey care home, in Yeovil, has celebrated with a whole day party to celebrate 30 years of serving the local community.
Staff, residents and guests commemorated this special occasion with live music including singers, live saxophone performance, flower arranging classes and plaque revealing ceremony with Yeovil Mayor, Andy Kendell.
The home regularly holds events and activities for its residents and surrounding neighbours.
The home had been opened 30 years ago by Paddy Ashdown.
General manager, Jess Brolan, said: “It is important to recognise the hard work of our staff here at West Abbey.
“For the past 30 years, we have provided a caring home for our residents as well as the best possible environment for our staff.
“Today not only enables us to celebrate their hard work, but it's also an opportunity to thank the residents, their relatives and friends who have made West Abbey such a loving home.”
West Abbey care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.
West Abbey provides residential, nursing and dementia care for 91 residents from respite care to long term stays.
