AFTER another year of GCSE exams, Holyrood Academy students have "excelled", securing fantastic results.
Students from the school in Chard have achieved overall better results than the previous year, showing a good year-on-year improvement in education.
There have been many individual achievements across the year group, with many students beating their predicted grades.
Top performing students this year included:
Tomas Jenkin, who achieved 6 grade 9s and 2 grade 7s.
Vitoslave Barabolia, who achieved 5 grade 9s, 1 grade 8 and 2 grade 7s.
Henry Jackson achieved 4 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, and 1 grade 7.
Headteacher, Dave MacCormick, said: "Following a successful set of A-Level and Level 3 BTEC results last week, we are very pleased to announce that our GCSE results show similar year-on-year improvement.
"I would like to congratulate this wonderful group of students on their achievements and thank our amazing staff team for all the support they have given this group."
