Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, Europe’s longest-established taiko group, will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a show in Yeovil this year.
The troupe is set to perform on Tuesday, October 29 at the Westlands Entertainment Venue.
Known for their dynamic choreography and atmospheric soundscapes, the group promises a theatrical experience as it revisits its three-decade journey.
Throughout their career, Mugenkyo has performed at many global shows and has released six albums, augmenting their reputation as an artistically prolific taiko group outside of Japan.
The group has also been present on television, appearing on programs like the Brit Awards and BBC Last Night of the Proms.
In addition to their performances, the taiko stalwarts have been part of various significant undertakings.
They worked with the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra on World of Gods, and filmed for the Hollywood film Tin Soldier with industry greats Jamie Foxx and Robert De Niro.
Attendees can expect to witness a demonstration of skill, stamina, and soul, reflecting the unique vitality of taiko.
Mugenkyo's performance in Yeovil comes after nearly five years since their last major UK tour.
