A SERIOUS multi-vehicle collision on a key A-road in Somerset saw police and ambulance services called to action yesterday evening.
The A303 was closed westbound between he A371 in Wincanton and the A359 in Sparkford at just as a result of the incident.
Police said they believe no one was seriously injured in the crash. The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust has been contacted for further comment.
"We were called at 5.10pm yesterday (Monday, August 12) to the A303 westbound, in Sparkford, to a multi-vehicle collision.
"Thankfully, we do not believe anyone was seriously injured and officers left patients in the care of the ambulance service.
"The road was closed while emergency services attended and the vehicles were recovered. It was reopened just after 8pm.
