Ilminster Icons Dance Team, founded by former professional dancer and seasoned instructor Holly Crane celebrated the end of year with a celebration this week.

Recognising a need for a dynamic dance school in Ilminster and its surrounding areas, Holly took the initiative to create a space where dance enthusiasts of all ages could come together to celebrate the art of performance and participate in local carnivals.

Since its inception just six months ago, the Ilminster Icons have already made a significant impact. The team marked this milestone with a lively celebration on Tuesday, July 23rd, drawing in children, families, and supporters from the community.

Holly said: "The evening was filled with joy and excitement, featuring upbeat music, delicious food, and a touch of sparkle with glitter tattoos.

"The highlight of the night was an awards ceremony that recognised the hard work and dedication of the young dancers, making it an event that attendees will cherish for years to come."

The Ilminster Icons offer a variety of dance classes throughout the week, including sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday afternoons.

The events they attend include the carnival team, a cheerleading squad, and even adult dance lessons, the Ilminster Icons are bringing fresh energy and creative opportunities to the local area.
