A PICTURE framing business in Martock has been named the Best Family-Owned Bespoke Art Gallery in Southern England.
Martock Gallery at 7 Water Street, Martock has been named in the SME News UK Enterprise Awards.
They are a picture framing business in Martock, which has been established for 30 years. Director Mandy said: "We bought the business just over two years ago, when the previous owners retired, and have really developed the art gallery, working with national and local artists and artisans. We are so busy that all four of the retired owners now work with us part-time, which is great for us all. We are so proud to be recognized in this way with this award."
Owners Mandy and Jim stock a range of gifts and cards from local artisans, as well as original art and prints from nationally acclaimed and local artists.
They offer glass, ceramics, bronze sculptures, candles, cards, handmade soaps and gifts in Martock, Yeovil, Crewkerne, Bridport, South Petherton, Ilminster, Langport, Beaminster, Broadwindsor, Dorchester, Somerton, Street, Castle Cary, Glastonbury, Sherborne, Shaftesbury, Salisbury and numerous towns and villages.
Located just off the A303, they stock original artwork and prints by some of the country's leading artists, objets d'art, sculpture, glass, handcrafted wood, cards and ceramics - and offer a complete framing service to suit our customers' requirements.
The business has exciting plans for the future, they are shortly going to be working with Rebecca Lardner, an extremely well known award-winning British artist, who will be bringing some new originals and Limited Edition prints that aren’t available elsewhere. Her work is inspired by the South West coast.
