YEOVIL Neighbourhood officers confiscated a motorcycle that was being ridden without insurance last Wednesday (July 17).
The officers attended a report of a group of individuals riding an off-road motorbike along a public footpath in Ninesprings Country Park.
Whilst searching the area, officers saw two people riding the bike on a main road, who failed to stop for the police.
A spokesman for South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Fortunately, officers were able to catch up with the riders and subsequently arrested a male for various driving offences, including driving while under the influence of an illegal substance, as well as for assaulting an emergency worker.
"The motorbike was seized for being ridden on a public road without insurance, and an additional male has been reported for permitting the use of a motor vehicle without insurance."
