St Giles Animal Centre in Wrantage would like to thank residents and businesses who have donated pet food to them.
They are still appealing for more after a 'busy kitten season' they have struggled to cope with the extra demand and feeding the newborn kittens.
A spokesman said: "This kitten season has been one of our busiest ones by far and we have seen around 40 kittens come to our care already of all ages and the calls still keep coming.
"We are continuously running out of kitten food and are doing our best to try and purchase as much as we can as well.
"Everyone has been very wonderful to respond to our kitten food appeals and we can’t thank you enough. If you have any spare kitten food or are able to purchase some for the mums and kittens in our care, every bit goes a long way."
James Wellbeloved Pet Food is one of the businesses that have donated.
St Giles Animal Welfare not-for-profit provides a safe and loving environment to animals who need help.
