FIREFIGHTERS from Yeovil Fire Station embark on their 270-mile cycle challenge for charity.

On Thursday, June 20, members of Yeovil's Red Watch set off, and on Friday, they visited Chard Fire Station. They will begin cycling to every fire station in Somerset, plus one in every neighbouring county.

Any proceeds raised will go to The Little Princess Trust and The Firefighters Charity.

Red Watch have chosen to raise money for the Little Princess Trust in support of Rosie from Blue Watch, whose sister is fighting a rare form of cancer. Rosie will also be cycling to show support for her sister and both charities.

The eight participants plan to cover the entire 270-mile duration in just two days.

So far, the fundraiser has amounted a total of £463 from the £2,000 target - £255 of this has been donated to The Little Princess Trust, and £208 to The Firefighters Charity.
