Figures from the website police.uk shows the number of crimes reported to the police in March.

The statistics are from March this year (2024), by far the largest crime shown on the map is violence and sexual offences in Chard, Ilminster, Yeovil and surrounding towns and villages.

There was also a rise in shoplifting around the Tesco Superstore and the B&Q hardware store. There was a case of public order in Hervey Road and Vicarage Way.

A case of criminal damage is currently under investigation in St Mary's Crescent.

In South Chard, only two crimes were reported, one case of public order in Holley's Close, a case of other theft in Parrock's Lane.

Other crimes were reported in the surrounding towns and villages between Chard, Ilminster and Yeovil.
