GLENVILLE Road Post Office in Yeovil could be converted into a house, if plans are approved by Somerset Council.
Document 24/01305/P3MA is asking for permission to change the use of the building from commercial to a 'dwellinghouse.'
The site traded as a post office until 2023, which the owners say was only a small part of what is already a house. The proposal does not create a new house, but will just make better use of the now redundant space for the benefit of the owners.
The document said: "This is not a new development and the site is already occupied by a four-bedroom house. There is no change to this and occupancy will not increase. Three parking spaces are indicated on the plan. The majority of houses in this area have no off-road parking facilities. There is also a garage and slightly smaller but useable parking space available. When in use as a shop customers would park on the tarmac area in front of the shop which is right on the road junction which is dangerous."

The application has been submitted to Somerset Council planning officers, who will review the plans and decide to approve or refuse the application.
