A FARMERS market is set to return to a Somerset town next month.
Crewkerne Farmers Market, part of the Somerset Farmers Markets group, is coming back to Falkland Square from June 22 2024.
Visitors will be able to browse produce from farmers, growers and artisans who are primary producers from within 30 miles of Crewkerne. This means 100% of the money from each purchase goes director to the farmer, grower, artisan or maker.
Louise Hall, Somerset Farmers Markets co-ordinator, said: “We held Crewkerne Farmers Market in Falkland Square for many years and it was hugely successful, a great location for customers and traders alike and considered one of the best in the South West. It is great news that we are allowed to move back there and have the market expand."
There will also be community stalls at the market, where visitors can get information about local events or community organisations.
The market will be on the fourth Saturday of every month from June 22. It will be at Falkland Square, which is a pedestrianised outdoor shopping centre with access to a large car park.
Somerset Farmers Markets runs seven markets across Somerset:
- Axbridge - 1st Saturday of the month
- Midsomer Norton - 1st Saturday of the month
- SFM at the Frome Independent - 1st Sunday of the month
- Keynsham - 2nd Saturday of the month
- Frome Boyle Cross - 2nd Saturday of the month
- Nailsea - 3rd Saturday of the month
- Crewkerne - 4th Saturday of the month
