A Yeovil-based apprentice has been named as a winner in the JTL Regional Awards.
Chris Lintern, who completed his Electrical Installation apprenticeship at Spectrum Electrical Group, was recognised for his exceptional achievements.
He was nominated by his training officer, Tim Richards.
JTL's chief executive, Chris Claydon, awarded Mr Lintern with an engraved trophy and £100 prize at the training centre in Birmingham.
He will now compete with other regional winners for JTL National Apprentice of the Year on June 13 at the British Motor Museum.
Training officer Tim Richards said: "Chris is an exemplary learner who was committed to completing the course quickly and to a high standard.
"He is a knowledgeable and competent electrician who has now taken on his own jobs and supervises other staff."
Chris Lintern said: "I was delighted to hear that I had been chosen as one of JTL's regional winners.
"This award reflects my hard work and commitment to my apprenticeship, and I would like to thank Tim, along with my employer, for nominating and supporting me throughout the qualification.
"I’m very excited to move forwards as a finalist in the JTL National Awards this June, along with the other JTL Regional Award winners."
