POLICE have retrieved stolen toolboxes after a recent spate of thefts from vans in Yeovil with the help of one of the victims.
Avon and Somerset Police are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and CCTV checks as they "are aware of a number of thefts from vans in Yeovil recently".
A spokesperson said: “Yeovil Neighbourhood Police Team are aware of a number of thefts from vans in Yeovil recently.
“Our PCSOs have been out speaking with victims, gathering key information, and carrying out house-to-house enquiries and CCTV checks in the affected areas.
“Today, one of the victims was able to help PCSO Ollie and PC Harry retrieve a number of Bosch toolboxes belonging to another victim of crime.
“We have been able to reunite the owner with some of the property stolen from them.
“If you have any information in relation to recent thefts from vans, please call 101.”
