A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken airlifted to hospital after a “serious collision” in Yeovil this morning (Wednesday, December 20).
Police said they were called this morning at around 8.45am after a crash between a tractor and a motorcycle on Mudford Road.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said “the motorcyclist was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment by the air ambulance with life-changing, but not life-threatening, injuries”.
The spokesperson also said: “We were called shortly after 8.45am this morning (20 December) to a report of a serious collision between a tractor and a motorcycle on Mudford Road in Yeovil.
“Officers attended, alongside the ambulance service.
“The motorcyclist was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment by the air ambulance with life-changing, but not life-threatening, injuries.
“The road has been closed between the junctions of Tower Road and Lyde Road.”
Travel Somerset said the road reopened around 5pm (Wednesday, December 20).
