AREAS of Somerset and Devon are bracing for snow flurries and icy conditions tomorrow (Thursday, November 30).
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice covering a large swathe of the two counties from 3am until 4pm.
The Taunton, Minehead and Chard and Ilminster areas, as well as much of Devon is covered by the yellow weather warning.
Temperatures will struggle to rise above freezing, with a maximum of 4degsC possible, although the wind chill factor will make it feel more like -3degsC.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "Wintry weather may affect some areas leading to hazardous conditions in a few places."
Here's what to expect tomorrow:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services;
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces;
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
