REALITY TV show Big Brother has returned to screens after a lengthy hiatus, with a shock contestant from Somerset hoping to win it all.
21-year-old Tom has been revealed as a Big Brother housemate, much to the delight of local TV lovers.
Tom works as a butcher for Andrew Barclay Butchers in Wincanton, but resides nearer to Yeovil, in the village of Limington.
In an interview, he said: "There's not much to say about Limington really.
"[The] average age of ladies is about fifties, sixties, I think I'm probably a bit young for them."
He describes himself as "quite loud and chatty" and is most looking forward to sitting around and chatting with the other housemates.
Tom also explained "my mouth moves faster than my brain," and joked that his self-proclaimed funny persona could quite easily offend other contestants and those watching from home.
The Wincanton butcher has high hopes for the show, and has already begun debating how to spend his prize money.
"There’s a good couple of cars I want to buy," he said.
"I’d probably put a good bit of it into savings for a house, and then probably spunk a trip to Ibiza or somewhere."
Tom's workplace, Andrew Barclay Butchers showed support, and said: "Anyone watching Big Brother?
"See someone you may know?
"That's right, our Thomas has entered the Big Brother House!
"All the best Tom - good luck."
