A MARTOCK woman has been banned from driving after being caught speeding in a 20mph zone.
Lydia Rose Bellchamber pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court.
Bellchamber, 24, of Milton, was captured speeding in a BMW by a Devon and Cornwall Police camera on Old Laira Road, Plymouth on November 8 last year.
She was fined £95 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £76 along with a contribution of £90 towards prosecution costs.
She was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months after receiving three penalty points, which took her over the totting up threshold for a ban.
Magistrates declined to accept her plea that the ban would cause exceptional hardship.
Bellchamber was told she must pay the total £261 court bill by October 20.
