AN AWARD-WINNING cameraman will soon be in Somerset with his new show, Mary Stoppard writes.

Launching in Ireland last year, Doug Allan presented his brand-new show to packed-out audiences.

This Autumn 2023, Doug will be bringing his prestigious new show on tour to England, including dates in Yeovil and Frome.

The exciting opportunity now presents itself to come and watch Doug look back over the highs and lows of his life as a natural history filmmaker during the past 35 years.

He said: “There are big days when animals behave spectacularly right in front of your lens. And other quieter times when a deeper understanding reveals itself.

"I’ll be talking about these moments of truth and how they’re the biggest privilege of a wildlife cameraperson.”

Whilst reflecting on the past, Doug will also present his take on the future of the planet and how wildlife photography can be used to make a powerful difference in climate change.

Doug will be at Westlands, Yeovil on September 17, 2023, and at the Cheese and Grain in Frome on October 19, 2023.
