AN Avon & Somerset cop allegedly had sex with a colleague at a police station while on duty and uploaded sexual images of three women he knew, to the internet without their knowledge.
PC Dave Lovell faces a misconduct hearing at force headquarters in Portishead on Wednesday, May 3.
The officer, who is based in Somerset but is currently suspended from duty, is also accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a police employee and sending explicit images of himself to them.
A publicity notice on the constabulary website said: “The alleged facts are:
“Whilst off-duty, PC Lovell uploaded sexual and intimate images of three women he knew to an online platform without their knowledge and consent;
“Whilst on-duty, between January 2012 and December 2013, PC Lovell had sexual intercourse with a police employee at a police station;
“Whilst off-duty, PC Lovell conducted an inappropriate relationship with a police employee and sent sexual and intimate images of himself to this individual.”
It said the constable is accused of breaching the standards of professional behaviour for police officers in terms of honesty and integrity, authority, respect and courtesy, and discreditable conduct.
“If proven, the allegations would amount to gross misconduct,” the notice added.
The hearing will be chaired in public by Chief Constable Sarah Crew.
