THERE was plenty on offer for Barrington residents at a successful fête and party, held at the village hall on Saturday, August 20.
The fête ran from 12pm until 4pm and offered cream teas, a raffle, a licensed bar and Pimm's tent, vintage cars, a children's area, a dog show, and more.
David and Jo Rowswell were named as the winners of the village's scarecrow competition - which had more than 40 entrants - with their SpongeBob creation.
Live entertainment from Ultrasound followed at the sold-out party, which ran from 7pm until midnight.
There was also a hog roast (plus vegetarian options) and a bar.
A Barrington Village Hall spokesperson said: “I think everyone had a great day! Over 1,000 people through the gate during the day and a sell out for the evening party. There were plenty of happy faces.
“A massive thank you from the hall trustees to everyone who played a part yesterday and gave up their time to set up, help out, man stalls and generally make it a brilliant day (and night) all round. And the weather held out for us.”
All proceeds from the events went to Barrington Village Hall.
