ON Sunday June 5, runners from across the county and some even further afield headed to Crewkerne to compete in the Crewkerne 10K run.
This was the 40th year of this event and it has truly grown tenfold in that amount of time.
The Crewkerne 10K is an out and back course with a degree of undulations.
The Road race takes you through the quiet roads to the North of the town taking in the villages of Merriott and Hinton St George.
Each runner was awarded a t-shirt and medal for all 10K finishers.
As well as the 10K run, there was also an out and back 5K, Junior Fun Run (ages 9-14 only), Adult Fun Run and Business Challenge which started around 10 minutes after the 10K run.
Finishers of these races all received t-shirt, medal, drinks and a banana at the finish.
