A MAN from Weymouth received a 21-day driving ban after he was caught speeding on the A303 Ilminster Bypass.
Alan Wooldridge, of Nuthatch Close, was clocked driving a Ford at 68mph on a stretch of dual carriageway with a 50mph speed limit.
Wooldridge, 47, committed the offence on June 7, 2021 on the Ilminster Bypass near the Boxstone Hill Overpass.
He pleaded guilty under the single justice procedure on Tuesday, March 22.
Wooldridge was banned from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 21 days when he attended Taunton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, May 4.
He was also fined £323 and ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a £34 surcharge to fund victim services.
He has until Wednesday, June 1 to pay his £442 court bill.
Court documents say Wooldridge's guilty plea was “taken into account when his sentence was imposed”.
