AN elderly woman needed surgery after she was struck by a car in a garden centre car park earlier this week.
Police are appealing for witnesses with any dashcam footage following the incident in Yeovil.
The collision occurred shortly after 11am on Monday (April 18) in the car park of the Palmers Garden Centre, in Bernards Way.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "The woman (who is in her seventies) suffered a significant hip injury, for which she’s required surgery.
"The driver of the vehicle, which we believe was a Mercedes Convertible, did initially stop at the scene but then left.
"If you are the driver involved in this incident, please contact us.
"We also want to speak to anyone who saw this collision, or who has any footage which could help our investigation."
If you can help, call police on 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222091713, or complete the force's online appeals form.
