POLICE are appealing for information after a bike was stolen from a 12-year-old boy in Ilchester.
The incident happened at Talltrees Community Centre at 5.15pm on Tuesday, November 2.
A group of older boys and young men approached the boy and took his bicycle, which was then found later nearby - but damaged and unusable.
There were up to eight people in the group.
"One is described as in his early 20s, white and 6ft tall," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.
"He wore a black ski mask, black clothing and white trainers.
"Another was in his mid-teens, white and 5ft 7ins tall. He too wore black clothing including a ski mask.
"Please call 101 if you were in the area of Talltrees Community Centre between 5pm and 6pm that Tuesday and saw the incident, spotted the bike being damaged or have any phone or dashcam footage which could help.
"Give the call handler the reference 5221258491.
"Alternatively ring the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111."
