A CASUALTY was treated for injuries after a kitchen fire last night (September 7).
Firefighters from Yeovil attended the incident in the town around 7.45pm.
There was 20% fire damage to the kitchen and 40% smoke damage to the ground floor of the property.
"Upon arrival two breathing apparatus crew members were committed to investigate and confirmed fire contained to the kitchen of the property," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"Crews extinguished the fire and treated a casualty on scene for injuries.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and one positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the blaze."
