A POLYTUNNEL caught fire near Taunton yesterday (August 5).
Fire crews from Taunton, Bridgwater and Ilminster attended the incident around 11.30am in Hatch Beauchamp.
The blaze was caused accidentally, and it damaged some poly tunnels containing plants.
"Crews attended a poly tunnel on fire this morning, and on arrival requested assistance of a third appliance and water carrier," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"One poly tunnel fire was spreading to an adjacent tunnel along with objects nearby
"Crews got to work with four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two safety jets and two thermal imaging cameras.
"Western Power were requested to attend to isolate electrical supply.
"Once the fire was extinguished, crews handed duty of care to the owner."
