A BUS caught fire in a Somerset village this morning (July 28).
Fire crews attended the incident in Maperton, near Wincanton, at around 7am.
Engines from Yeovil, Castle Cary and Wincanton were called to the fire.
"Fire control received a call from a member of the public reporting a bus on fire earlier this morning," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue.
"On arrival, crews confirmed a fire in the engine compartment of the bus.
"The fire was extinguished by crews using one hose reel jet."
