THERE were just 30 positive Covid tests in Somerset in the latest seven-day period, according to figures released this evening.
Of those, six were in South Somerset; seven in Somerset West and Taunton; 11 in Sedgemoor; and six in Mendip.
To put that into context, the rate of infection in each district based on the latest seven-day rolling figures are:
South Somerset 3.6 people per 100,000 of population;
Somerset West and Taunton 4.5 people per 100,000 of population;
Sedgemoor 8.9 people per 100,000 of population;
Mendip 5.2 people per 100,000 of population.
The average rate across the whole of England in the same period has been calculated as 24.8 people per 100,000.
