THE Liberal Democrat candidate was elected as the new councillor for Chard Town (Holyrood ward) at the elections on Thursday (May 6).
Claire Brown became the new town councillor with 296 votes.
Other candidates included: Timothy Eggins (Green Party) with 193 votes and Connor Payne (Conservative Party) with 276 votes.
Conservative candidate Teresa Anne Bond and Liberal Democrat candidate Alice Samuel were elected in the Crewkerne Town Council By-election.
Neil Anderton, Samantha Atherton, Claudia Cole, Howard Ellard, Emma Hix, Dawn Old were elected in the Wincanton Town Council By-election.
Kara Storey was elected in the South Petherton Parish Council By-election.
And Simon Jones was elected in the Kingsbury Episcopi Parish Council By-election.
