A 29-YEAR-OLD pleaded not guilty to the murder of Louis Bednall when he appeared in court this week.
Matthew Sheridan denied a single count of murder when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court via video link from Bristol prison.
Sheridan, of South Petherton, is accused of killing the former security guard on December 12, 2020.
Mr Bednall, 40, was found with stab wounds at a flat in Hendford Hill, Yeovil and he sadly died later in hospital.

Mr Bednall came from South Devon and had worked as a security guard at Torbay Hospital and doorman at pubs and clubs including Pickwick in Paignton.
Sheridan missed two previous hearings - once because he was suffering from Covid-19 and one because he chose not to leave his cell.

Judge Peter Johnson confirmed a date of July 26 for an eight day trial at Exeter Crown Court and remanded Sheridan in custody.
