THE number of people who have died from coronavirus in parts of South Somerset has been revealed.
The latest data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows the location of every death where Covid-19 was the main cause on the death certificate.
There have been a total of 122,000 deaths in the UK since the start of the pandemic.
The data shows virus deaths that have occurred in England and Wales from March to January 2021.
In Ilminster, the number of deaths in each area since the start of the pandemic is as follows:
- Ilminster & Horton, 13 deaths
- Curry Rivel & Fivehead, nine deaths
- South Petherton, Seavington & Kingsbury, three deaths
In Chard, the figures are as follows:
- Chard West, nine deaths
- Tatworth & Combe St Nicholas, seven deaths
- Chard North & East, five deaths
In Crewkerne, the figures are as follows:
- Crewkerne, nine deaths
